General
All plants are living organisms and may vary in color, shape, variegation, size, leaf count, and growth habit. Photographs represent the exact plant being offered unless stated otherwise.
Customers acknowledge that minor cosmetic imperfections, shipping stress, acclimation stress, leaf yellowing, minor leaf loss, and temporary wilting may occur during transit and are not considered damage or grounds for refund.
Specialty Plants SLC reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, or deny future purchases due to fraudulent activity, abusive conduct, repeated policy violations, or suspected resale activity inconsistent with Company policies.
Alocasia Care and Acclimation
Unless stated otherwise, all Alocasia plants sold by Specialty Plants SLC are fully acclimated and actively growing in an environment maintained at approximately 60–70% relative humidity prior to shipment. While many Alocasia species can gradually adapt to lower ambient humidity levels as they mature, newly received plants may experience stress if exposed immediately to substantially drier conditions.
Upon delivery, customers are strongly encouraged to provide their Alocasia plants with a higher-humidity environment that closely matches the conditions in which they were grown. If the customer intends to maintain the plant in a lower-humidity setting, the plant should be gradually acclimated over a period of several weeks to minimize transplant shock, leaf damage, and growth setbacks.
Customers should be aware that environmental changes associated with shipping, repotting, relocation, temperature fluctuations, lighting differences, and humidity reductions can result in temporary stress responses, including leaf yellowing, browning, drooping, slowed growth, or the loss of older foliage. These responses are common during the acclimation process and do not necessarily indicate that the plant was received in poor condition.
By purchasing Alocasia plants from Specialty Plants SLC, customers acknowledge that proper acclimation and ongoing care are essential to the successful establishment of these plants in their new environment and that the customer assumes responsibility for providing appropriate growing conditions following delivery.
